Picnic

Several times a year I am the volunteer photographer for Guild,Inc. They do really great work for people with mental illness and I appreciate all they do for our community.
This summer I photographed their staff picnic. Staff members brought their families and had a great time!
The theme was Summer Luau. Fun was had by all!

Girl's Night Out!

Recently I attended a fun event! Betsy Hawn of  Gusto salon in Minneapolis hosted a girl's night out along with Samara from Simplicity in the Suburbs and Jennifer of Stella and Dot.

Gusto is a great salon that is decorated so cute and really made for a great girl's night. Yummy desserts  and some bubbly drinks were served to all the ladies.

Jennifer of Stella and Dot had a lot of beautiful jewelry and fun bags on display for everyone to try on and order.

Several ladies had their hair and make up done by the stylist's at Gusto.

It was a fun evening and I was happy to be there to document the event!

Girl's Night Out!

I LOVE to read blogs and have been reading many different types of blogs for a long time now.One blog that  I have been following is called Simplicity in the Suburbs . Samara has a great writing style and her kids are nothing short of adorable.

When I read a post recently that she was going to have a Girl's Night Out event with Gust-o Minneapolis and Stella and Dot stylist Jennifer Allen I thought it sounded like a lot of fun!  Having your hair done and looking at gorgeous jewelry, bags and bling sounds like a win/win to me.

I am excited to be the photographer at the event. Maybe you want to stop by, too?

Trees

I have always loved tree branches without leaves. Especially if they are wet and dark. I have tried many times to capture what I love about them with paint, pencil, chalk, pen, charcoal and I could never quite get it right.
Photography lets me capture the beauty.
I love all the intersecting lines.

 I look at them sometimes and compare them to people.

Some are crooked and some are straight.

Some are bold and some are dainty.

Tall and wispy.

Standing back let the blue sky show.

It's almost as if it is leaning down to get a drink.

Spring special!

April is beginning with a super exciting time for me as a photographer. I have secured a beautiful, natural light studio to shoot out of. I am in love with the space and the light and can't wait to start making beautiful images there.

I will still offer on location and outdoor photos, too. The studio is in an area of North East Minneapolis that has many cool spots within walking distance for great photo shoots.

Seniors graduating in 2014, it is time for you to book your photo sessions! Contact me and we will get something scheduled.

I have been doing a lot of modern day glamour shots. Nothing like the fake "glamour shots" of the 80's!

These photos are real and really let the inner beauty of the woman shine.

March is here!

It's March, so we are on the downward slope of winter! Although, we are expecting a foot of snow in the next couple of days here in Minnesota. That does not seem so daunting knowing that Spring is around the corner and winter can only last so long.

Recently, I was lucky enough to have my beautiful friend and fellow photographer, Mackenzie, model for me.
